Do you know the days when you just don’t feel so good? The days when everything seems to go wrong already from the morning onwards…. What do you do in days like that? How do you dress up for the day that you have a feeling is not going to go so well? Are you going to wear something that helps you to blend in? Or would you go a little bit crazy and wear something that maybe makes people smile and so makes you feel better?
If you chose the latter option, I have a perfect designer for you :) Finnish Designer Daniel Palillo
. His designs have big prints, are oversized and full of black humour. So you could say his designs are something that are very special, nothing that you can see every where… And I think because of that even Lady Gaga has been seen wearing clothing from him.
I find some of the clothing personally quite funny, not that I would necessary wear it in the office, but outside of the work for sure :)
Here are few pieces from Daniel Palillo’s S/S14 collection called “Me against the world”.
“It is a call for slackers* to unite: to wear their pajamas to work, and do what they like.”
If you want to see it all, you can find them here
(downloads the whole collection for your computer as a .zip file).
If you want to see more, Daniel has released pictures for his men A/W 14 collection already as well and you can find the here
This is my feel good clothing from Vietto
:) Always helps me to smile when I wear it….
Last but not least, I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Georgia for nominating me to the Liebster Award. Unfortunately I can't take part of it, as I have more than 200 followers, but please go ahead and check out her blog http://www.georgiasjourney.com Thank you so much Georgia!! :)

Just few weeks ago we were in a wedding where the bride did not wear traditional wedding dress. She had this beautiful figure hugging 50s dress. It was just below her knees, had short sleeves and heart shape collar. The fabric was polka dot one, white dots on dark blue background. The dress was teamed with red peep toes, red lips and white pearl necklace. She was just stunning!!! So as I have been looking for a summer dress for myself (no, summer is not over yet!), I thought why not look for a polka dot one and hope to look as stunning as the bride did ;)
My search started from the Facebook page of Finnish brand called Miun
. The first Miun collection was launched in 2004 and they are known of their clean and clear design with a romantic touch. They have just released their Autumn/Winter 2013 collection called “Kuuhulluus (Lunacy)” and they do have a polka dot dress in there... Here are few photos of the collection, but if you want to see them all, click here.
I like the way they use strong colours and especially that red jacket looks really nice! The polka dot dress is also really nice I like the flowing hem... It is just a shame they don’t the collection in their online shop
And did I get that polka dot dress? Well, I got distracted and bought something else instead...
Sometime back I wrote about Finnish brand called Vietto
and I somehow ended up with Vietto stripe dress instead :) It may not be that sexy figure hugging polka dot, but it just makes me feel so happy because of the colours that I couldn't say no to it :)
Cheers for now,
Please note the pictures of A/W 2013 Miun collection belong to Miun and the picture of the Vietto stripe dress belong to Vietto.
It is time for the spring cleaning... I’m not such a big fan of vacuum cleaning, dusting, washing the floors etc., so my cleaning is more concentrating towards my wardrobe. Once a year, I go thru my clothes and throw out the ones I have not been using within the last year. Ok, I do make some exception, like all the band T-shirt I have (oh, the memories :)) and some summer clothes, in case the summer before has been really cold. But other than that, I’m ruthless... Then there is the question what to do with the clothing I will not were anymore. Should I just throw it out, go to flea market or should I give them to charity? Throwing things out that could be used again is against my nature, I do support recycling, and as I haven’t been able to motivate myself to go to flea market either, I usually end up giving my clothes to charity.
I do admire people who are able to use old clothing and make something new of them, in a way give them another chance... A brand called Vietto (http://vietto-ecofashion.blogspot.de/) is an ecological brand that uses carefully chosen left over and recycled fabrics, high quality organic cotton, hemp, bamboo and tencel to their clothing. I have never heard about tencel before, so just in case you haven’t either, here is the link to wiki to explain what it is (tencel is also called lyocell) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyocell , but shortly it is fabric made from wood – yes, seriously.
They latest collection is called “Twisted ballerina” (love the name :)) and you can find the logbook for the collection below (or from here http://vietto-ecofashion.blogspot.de/search/label/LOOKBOOK). Unfortunately the pictures are quite small, so you can’t see the clothing so well, but the black dress/T-shirt looks interesting. I wonder if you can get one with different material/colour as the design of it is nice...
When looking around Vietto homepage (http://vietto-ecofashion.blogspot.de/) I did find the thing below. It is from the earlier collection, and I just like it lot! That jacket is definitely a thing to have... What do you think?
Huoh, time to continue with the cleaning...
